Why do some drivers perform better for others even when they have the same specifications and are of the same make? The answer lies in the Smash Factor, which is a factor derived from the impact speed of the player’s swing in relationship of the ball as it leaves the club face. Also involved is the efficiency of the swing in making a centered impact on the club face.

All of this is accurately measured by our Distance Caddy in the indoor range.

The player may test as many drivers as he/she wishes and they may bring in drivers from another source. We strongly suggest that the player bring his or her own golf balls for the test as our range balls will not give accurate results for carry. It is also possible to determine which make of golf ball best fits your chosen driver and swing. You may care to test your golf balls for this information or feedback.
